This Privacy Policy explains how StudyFlip ("the app"), developed by HerenLabs, handles your information. We are committed to being transparent and keeping your data under your control.

1. Data We Collect

StudyFlip stores all your personal study data — decks, cards, progress, streaks, and settings — locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

2. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Google AdMob — displays ads to free users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing — handles subscription purchases. Payment data is processed entirely by Google and is not accessible to us. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini AI — used to generate flashcard decks from topics you enter. The topic text you provide is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate content. We do not store this data. See Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
We do not track your location.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond the services listed above.
We do not have access to your payment information.

4. Advertising

Free users may see interstitial ads served by Google AdMob after study sessions. Premium subscribers see no ads. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device's Google settings under Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

5. Children's Privacy

StudyFlip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

All study data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data through your device's settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
